Rural Development Programs

Since the early ages, we tend to hear the epigram that the real India breathes in our villages. It is true that since the advent of 90s our country has made a significant progress economically, but it has not done much good for our rural development. The urban India galloped the course of success, but the rural India remained downtrodden as ever.

Since the inception of Akankshanirudh Foundation, our focus has remained to work on the roots of the rural backwardness. That is the reason why we started the work for underprivileged after identifying the core areas where the improvement is inevitable for the upliftment of rural India.

• The schools and colleges:  It is an undeniable fact that education is the backbone of any economy. But it is a bitter aspect that the conditions of our schools and colleges in rural India is nothing less than pathetic. The classrooms of several government schools are overcrowded with students with excessive shortage of qualified teachers. In many of the classes, the student to teacher ratio is 100: 1. Akankshanirudh Foundation is resolute to create the best school infrastructure for the students fulfilling not just the demand for the most qualified teachers, but also facilitate the basic amenities of the school like proper drinking water, separate toilets, playground, etc. We also believe in empowering the girl child by encouraging their parents to send them to school. The foundation has also taken initiatives for the rural youth wishing to aspire high in their career, but forced to emigrate in order to pursue higher educations in the colleges of the cities.

• Hospitals and healthcare:  Everyday millions of people in our country fight for better health care amenities; and without uplifting the same, we cannot imagine the ideal growth of rural India. The members and volunteers of Akankshanirudh Foundation occasionally organize health camps with the cooperation of the most qualified doctors and medical staff in the country. The primary objective of the health care remains to take the best care of the women and child health issues. It is noteworthy that all the hospitals and health care campaigns in the remote parts of our country are autonomously run by the foundation trust without any support or aid from government or corporate bodies.

• Basic facilities and sanitation:  ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ is an initiative for the whole of India, but it is the country’s rural part that requires it more than ever. The years of campaigns driven by Akankshanirudh Foundation have now resulted in the availability of toilets, and effective waste management systems in various rural districts of our country.

In spite of years of rural development campaigning and successful milestones attained while working with the villagers, the foundation believes that it has not even travelled half of its journey. Spreading smiles on the faces of each and every dweller of rural India is the ultimate landmark!
